{"id":4286,"date":"2018-08-20T19:32:47","date_gmt":"2018-08-20T18:32:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/water.ma\/made-in-china-is-not-how-we-got-our-name\/"},"modified":"2018-08-20T19:32:47","modified_gmt":"2018-08-20T18:32:47","slug":"made-in-china-is-not-how-we-got-our-name","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/water.ma\/en\/made-in-china-is-not-how-we-got-our-name\/","title":{"rendered":"Made in China is Not How We Got Our Name"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"post-6453\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>The Water Quality Association (\u201cWQA\u201d) is seeking tariff exemptions for Chinese water treatment products that American Water Treatment Dealers are selling.\u00a0 I guess that is all well and good, but as the tariffs apply to US Water Systems, all I can tell you is that <strong>our name is US Water Systems, not China Water Systems,<\/strong>\u00a0and we have been phasing out Chinese products for years.\u00a0 So, while most other Water Dealers, Big Box Stores and Online Retailers are selling you filters and filter housings made in China and fighting for that right, US Water has been busy developing\u00a0 \u201cindustry leading\u201d products that are Made in USA, not China.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is amazing to us is that even in China, they prefer products made in the USA!\u00a0 <\/strong>Think about that one for a moment\u2026<\/p>\n<p>To date, US Water Systems is now selling the following products online that are all Made in America:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pleated Sediment Filters<\/li>\n<li>Reverse Osmosis Membranes<\/li>\n<li>Gradient Density Depth Filters<\/li>\n<li>Carbon Block Filters<\/li>\n<li>Radial Flow Carbon Filters<\/li>\n<li>Reverse Osmosis Filter Packs<\/li>\n<li>Media Filters<\/li>\n<li>4-1\/2\u2033 x 10\u2033 and 4-1\/2\u2033 x 20\u2033 Filter Housings<\/li>\n<li>Water Softener and Backwashing Filter Tanks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our ultraviolet systems are made in Canada, not China and our carbon is from Sri Lanka (not China) because the World\u2019s Very Best\u00a0 coconut shell carbon is from that region.\u00a0 We are also in the process of rolling out water softener and water filter valves and electronics that are all Assembled in the USA.\u00a0 We are attempting to source as many products as possible from American Suppliers in factories we can easily visit and see the quality control.<\/p>\n<p>Let the others sell you Chinese-Made Products, if that is what you want, but we will sell American-Made Products because, after-all,\u00a0 that is our name: <strong>US Water Systems!<\/strong> Below is the top of our new 4.5\u2033 x 20\u2033 Housing \u2013 Made in the USA!
